Around the country, more adults require foundational and basic education in order to compete in a tight job market. In response, the ACCUPLACER program is developing an adult basic education (ABE) test in reading, writing and math.
Field testing of the ACCUPLACER ABE test started in December 2012 and will end in March 2013. If your institution has an ABE program, we encourage you to participate in a field test. Each test will take up to one hour, including instructions.
The ACCUPLACER program will provide free ACCUPLACER units to the institution for each student who completes one or more field tests. Test administrators, proctors and students who complete at least one of the three ABE tests will also be entered into a raffle. State employees should verify that they are eligible to receive a prize under their applicable state or local ethics and gift rules.
