CLEP Notes
2015 ACCUPLACER® and CLEP® National Conference
The College Board hosted its first joint ACCUPLACER and CLEP National Conference in Philadelphia in June, bringing together nearly 300 K–12 and higher education professionals to discuss pressing issues facing education today. The event marked the 25th anniversary of the ACCUPLACER conference and the first year incorporating CLEP.
Highlights
This year's theme, "Change the Message. Change the Path. Change the Future," inspired dynamic plenary and breakout sessions that focused on best practices and strategies to help expand students' opportunities to get ahead in their education and careers.

Speakers included Bob Wise, president of the Alliance for Excellent Education and former governor of West Virginia, who brought to light the critical role we all play not only in education, but also in the future of our nation and its economy.

Participants had the opportunity to view Why Not Us?, a documentary developed by Roadtrip Nation and the College Board that follows a team of four first-generation college-going students as they interview leaders across the country who were also the first in their families to attend college.
